On May 23rd, the bassist for Slipknot was found dead in his hotel room. I have never heard such sad news in my life besides the day that James Sullivan died (rest in peace).
When I first heard the news, I felt like I had been hit by a truck. I had just finally gotten a bit better from hearing of the Rev's death. Now this? I mean Ronnie James Dio just recently died too. Is everyone from the music industry eventually going to die? Especially before their time is up?
Slipknot has been an very influential band for most. Especially for me. They are among my top 5 favorite bands of all time. They've helped me out when I was at the bottom of everything. My thoughts go to Paul's band members, Corey, Joey, Chris, Mick, Sid, Shawn, and James. My prayers go to his wife, and his soon-to-be baby girl. I think of anyone who was ever a friend of Paul, and give you my spirit to get through this tragedy. To his fans, like me, we're maggots til the end.
